Therefore, the welding of PE pipes is also a serious project, and electrofusion welding machine has been used. The connection of PE pipes includes electric fusion connection and thermal fusion connection, and it has a wide range of applications in the connection of small and medium-diameter pipes. Pipeline connection is an important part of the quality management process of PE pipelines, especially gas pipelines. Strengthening the quality control during the construction process is the key to ensuring the stable operation of the polyethylene pipeline system.
The electric fusion connection is achieved through the electric fusion pipe fittings sleeved on the outer surface of the pipe and energized and heated. Electrofusion pipe fittings include sleeves, saddles, reduced diameters, tees and elbows, etc. Electrofusion connection utilizes the Joule effect. After power-on, the resistance coil integrated in the inner and outer surfaces of the pipe heats up to cause the PE adjacent to the coil to melt, and the welding pressure generated by the expansion of the material causes the connection interface to be welded together. There are two methods of electrofusion connection: socket connection and saddle connection.
